I. PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT

1. Block Development Officer ……. 9 posts (2 resvd for OBC, 2 resvd for ST) 

Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,600/- Age: Not exceeding 42 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:- 

Essential: (i) Degree in any branch from a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) Knowledge of Konkani. 

Desirable: (i) Degree in Sociology/Social Work from a recognized university or equivalent. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi. 

Note: There will be a screening test to shortlist the candidates. The screening test will be of 100 marks objective type of 75 minutes duration. 

The syllabus for the screening test will be as under: 

i) General Knowledge 

ii) Elementary Mathematics / Reasoning 

iii) Basics of Indian Constitution: Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties, Directive Principles of State Policy, State Legislature,  Executive and Judiciary. 

iv) Good Governance: Efficiency, Transparency, Accountability in Governance, Right to Information Act, Role of Lokayukta. 

v) Goa Panchayati Raj Act. 

vi) Current events of State and National importance 

vii) Goa’s Freedom Struggle 

viii) Physical, Economic and Social Geography of Goa 

ix) Social Issues: Corruption, Environment and Women’s issues

II. GOA MEDICAL COLLEGE

2. Associate Professor in Plastic Surgery ……. 1 post (2nd time) 

Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/- Age: Not exceeding 45 years. 

Educational & Other Qualifications:- 

Essential: (i) A recognised medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). (ii) Post graduate degree or equivalent in the concerned super-speciality or equivalent. (iii) At least four years teaching/research experience in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution after obtaining the qualifying degree of Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.). (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. 

Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi. 

NOTE: For candidate with Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) degree of three years duration, experience required is 

at least three years after qualifying degree. 

3. Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery .……. 1 post (3rd time) 

Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/- Age: Not exceeding 45 years. 

Educational & Other Qualifications:- 

Essential: (i) A recognised medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi. 

NOTE: For candidate with Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) degree of three years duration, no experience is 

required. 

III. DIRECTORATE OF HEALTH SERVICES

4. Junior Surgeon ……1 post (3rd time) 

Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/- Age: Not exceeding 42 years 

Educational & Other Qualifications:- 

Essential: (i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (102 of 1956) Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Postgraduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in the speciality concerned. (iii) In case of Diploma holders, work in responsible position connected with the speciality.

IV. DIRECTORATE OF FOOD & DRUGS ADMINISTRATION

5. Drugs Inspector ……. 4 posts (1 resvd for OBC, 1 resvd for ST) 

Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,600/- Age: Not exceeding 42 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:- 

Essential: (i) Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicines with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from an 

University established in India by Law. 

(ii) Not less than 18 months experience in the manufacture of at least one of the substances specified in schedule C and/or schedule C1 to the Drugs and Cosmetics Rule, 1945 

OR 

(ii) Not less than 18 months experience in testing atleast one of the substances specified in schedule C and/or schedule C1 to the Drugs and 

Cosmetics Rule, 1945 

OR 

(ii) Not less than three years experience in the inspection of firms manufacturing any of the substances in schedule C and/or schedule C1 to the 

Drugs and Cosmetics Rule, 1945, during the tenure of his service as a Drugs Inspector. 

(iii) Knowledge of Konkani. 

Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi. 

6. Technical Officer ……. 1 post 

Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,600/- Age: Not exceeding 42 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:- 

Essential: (i) Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized University. (ii) 3 years experience in the manufacturing or testing of drugs and Cosmetics 

Act and Rules made thereunder and standardization of Drugs. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani. 

Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
